About Dr. Shah

Apurva Shah, M.D., M.P.H. is board certified in Internal Medicine, and holds a Masters in Public Health from the University of South Florida. He is ECFMG and ACLS certified, and has extensive training in geriatrics, hypertension, diabetes, heart failure, and obesity. Dr. Shah received his Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Mumbai, India; he then came to the United States to continue his education. Dr. Shah spent one year working with several renowned physicians at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer & Research Center. Thereafter, he traveled to New York and received his medical degree from Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center. Dr. Shah's diverse background and education have provided him the opportunity to become fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujrati. Dr. Shah specializes in geriatrics and diabetic care, and focuses on a holistic approach to patient care. He places a strong emphasis on preventive medicine, which ensures that all patients received necessary screening and follow-up care. Dr. Shah takes time to review each patient's complete health history, and strives to remain open minded, which allows him to consider alternative protocols as necessary. Dr. Shah enjoys building trusting relationships with his patients and understands the importance of patients comfort during office visits. He is always available to answer questions, and provides personal follow-up visits to hospitalized patients.
